Rich in history and culinary experiences, Osh offers a variety of engaging things to do that exude the essence of the city. From the moment you arrive you can immerse yourself in this friendly city, which has expertly hosted international travelers for centuries thanks to its pivotal position on the Great Silk Road. Take in a range of sights — from Central Asia's oldest bazaar to fascinating Soviet-era monuments and mosaics. Revel in a broad, flavorful, and diverse multicultural culinary scene carried to Osh by Silk Road travelers — join a local family as you learn the secret ingredients in Osh plov, eat your way across the city's most iconic dishes on a Foodie Tour, or make your own lepyoshka bread with a local master-baker.

Our friendly, knowledgeable guides are your personal connection to the stories, history, and flavors that make Osh come alive. See the city through a local's perspective and you'll leave with a deep appreciation of Osh's place in history — our Free Walking Tour is an ideal way to orient yourself during your first days in town, and having a guide by your side for a tour of Sulaiman-Too is the ideal way to understand how history has shaped and changed life in the Fergana Valley. No matter your interest, Osh offers a true wealth of activities, foods, and outdoor adventures for independent travelers.

If you would like a private guide for a half or full-day customized tour of Osh's main historical sites, attractions, markets, or anything else that interests you, we can organize this with one of our WFTGA internationally certified guides or junior guides who are fluent in English, Russian or Turkish languages.
